I have a 2010 Buick Lacrosse 3.0L. There’s all kinds of Youtube videos on how to replace a water pump for a 3.6L engine, but not 3.0L. The procedures are not the same. I cant get to it from the hood. When i remove the passenger tire i can see the pump, but i cant get to it. I would really appreciate some guidance.

  1. Hello

Sorry, I don’t have any experience with that engine and do not have access to information about it.

But in many transverse engines, you have to release the engine mount and put a jack under the engine and lower(or higher) it until you can reach the pump. (Carefully so you won’t damage anything and don’t damage the oil pan)

Your engine code should be LF1, and that engine is mounted in several car models. Probably can find some information there.
    buick lf1

I will leave the question open and wait for someone with more experience in this type of engine.
