thermostat replacement chrysler concorde 3.5

Asked by: 24 views Coolant Question

My 2002 chrysler concorde 3.5 liter started running hot about 7 days ago. I was running the heat full blast to keep the temperature down during my commute to work. Today I replaced the thermostat and it is blowing cold air only. The temperature is not rising as high as quickly anymore but there is no heat.  The only part messed with is the thermostat. What happened?

    Hello kjones.

You probably have air in the system.

Raise up the car in the front and rev it up and remove any air venting screws 🙂 And have the coolant cover loose so the air can escape 🙂
